Kindle Book Bargains
Everyone loves a good sale and Amazon Kindle book bargains are some of my favourite discoveries! It feels great to pick up a bargain but it is a double whammy when you find a book that you have wanted to read for ages for only 99p. I also have a habit of picking up digital copies of books which I already own in hardback whilst they are so cheap. My portable library is important to me! I really want to share some of my recent finds with you so here are my top picks that you can buy right now.

Storm Front
The first of my Kindle book bargains to check out is Storm Front, which is the first book in my favourite series, the Dresden Files. The series has magic, awesome fae, demons, werewolves, wizard councils and their politics…. The later books in this series are unbelievably amazing and are some of the best books, let alone urban fantasy books, that you will ever read. Admittedly, book one is slightly different to other books in the series as it is as much pulp noir as it is urban fantasy. If a book had a ‘pilot’ like a TV series this would be it. However, it is still a good book and establishes the main characters very well. Harry Dresden is the only wizard-detective in the phonebook and he helps to protect Chicago from all manner of bad guys! Storm Front is currently 99p and can be found on Amazon here.
Strange the Dreamer
“You’re a storyteller. Dream up something wild and improbable,” she pleaded. “Something beautiful and full of monsters.”
“Beautiful and full of monsters?”
“All the best stories are.”
– Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor
I bought a Kindle copy of this the last time it was on sale as the hardback is rather hefty! My copy has blue sprayed edges so I am a little scared to touch it as it is fairly valuable these days. Strange the Dreamer is a YA fantasy book about dreamers, loneliness and imagination. Currently it is only 99p! Check it out on Amazon here.
Holly Black Books!
There are a lot of Holly Black fans out there. Admittedly, I only discovered her books when she published The Cruel Prince. If, like me, you are eagerly awaiting next month to read Queen of Nothing then it is the perfect time to check out Holly’s backlist! Tithe is an urban fantasy featuring Kaye, a modern nomad, who finds herself to be a pawn in a power struggle between two faerie kingdoms. Currently it is only 99p! Check it out on Amazon here. Book three, Ironside, is also 99p so it is a great time to pick up the whole series.
If you haven’t read The Folk of Air series then both The Cruel Prince and The Wicked King are 98p as is the novella The Lost Sisters! I highly recommend you catch up in time for Queen of Nothing in November.
Onyx & Ivory
This has been on my TBR for a while, ever since I received a hardback copy in my FairyLoot box. Kate is cast out of the nobility after being labelled a traitor and goes to work for the royal courier where only the most skilled riders will survive. It is a high stakes YA fantasy book with dragons, magic and forbidden romance. At only 99p it is a bargain, which you can find here.
Girls of Paper and Fire
“When the world denies you choices… you make your own”
– Girls of Paper and Fire by Natasha Ngan
Another book that I own in hardback as it was a FairyLoot selection last year. Girls of Paper and Fire is an extremely popular Asian-inspired YA fantasy with F/F LGBT+ representation. Each year the king selects eight beautiful girls to serve him. These are the Paper Girls. This year, the king sets his eyes on a ninth girl, a girl with golden eyes. Her eyes, however, are elsewhere and her forbidden romance threatens their way of life. If you usually check for trigger warnings, I highly advise you to read reviews of this book before purchasing it. You can find Girls of Paper and Fire for 99p here.
Vicious and Vengeful
The Villains series by V.E. Schwab has been on my TBR for ages! Vicious is described as “A masterful tale of ambition, jealousy, desire and superpowers.” If you have ever wanted to read a book from the villain’s point of view then you should definitely check out this series. It starts with two ambitious college roommates who believe that under the right circumstances it is possible to develop supernatural abilities. When they begin to experiment it goes very wrong. Friends become enemies, but with terrible powers on both sides who will be left standing? A comic-book style tale in prose. Vicious is currently £2.80 and Vengeful is only 99p.
The Rules of Magic
I LOVED the film Practical Magic when I was younger and this is a prequel to the story. The Owen’s family live with a curse where they must never fall in love or their loved ones will die. As witches, they are both scorned and feared by locals. Susanna sets rules for her three very different children Franny, Jet and Vincent to try to protect them. Despite her warnings, each of the rules are broken and they begin to discover who they really are.
The Rules of Magic by Alice Hoffman is a fantastic pick for October as it is full of witches and magic. It is a bargain at only 99p here.

Oh my, what wonderful deals!! I’m not getting them on the US Amazon site, but I wonder if there’s any problem with me getting an acct on the UK Amazon site since these are just digital exchanges. In any case, I do love having a back-up copy of my print books on my devices if I can get them at such a great price. Also, I can’t WAIT for Queen of Nothing! ❤️
Ooo maybe there is a way to switch regions! It is definitely worth looking into. It would be handy for when the sales are on for digital content. YAY, I can’t wait to see how the series ends! Though I will inevitably be sad when I do finish it.
Love a good book bargain
