Fast Beauty Essentials #Sponsored
Time is not my friend when I want to look good but I need to get out of the door fast. Whether it is an early start, a quick turn around after work or unexpected delays, our schedules can make it really difficult to find enough time to get ready. Does limited time mean that we have to completely give up on our beauty routine? No! You simply need to figure out what your fast beauty essentials are! We all have specific beauty items that make us feel better about ourselves. Figuring out what those items are for you will make your fast beauty routine so much easier. Today’s post features my fast beauty essentials:
A Good Hair Dryer
There is no better feeling than having a good hair day. The new portable hair dryer by Panasonic, also known as the Panasonic EH-NA65 Nanoe Ion Hair Dryer*, not only has some great features but it is also really pretty!
According to Panasonic the Nanoe technology maintains approximately 1000 times more moisture than a normal hair dryer. If you regularly style your hair and worry about it becoming dry then this could be what you are looking for. Reducing frizz and having lovely glossy hair is the dream, especially when you are in a hurry! Here are some of the other cool features:
- 3 attachments included including a diffuser & quick dry nozzle.
- Lightweight at 600g (approx)
- 3 speeds
- A cool-shot button
- 3 other temperature settings
Having a good hair day can really make you feel different yet when we are in a hurry our hair is often neglected! Next time you go out try to make your hair a priority and see how much of a difference it makes for you. A good hair dryer should definitely be on your fast beauty essentials list!
Tinted Moisturiser
Having the right base can be a make or break issue. Working through my skincare products, adding a primer and then correctly applying foundation can take me ages. Tinted moisturiser has been my best friend ever since I discovered it along with BB and CC creams. It helps to hide skin flaws and gives you a nice natural glow so you look like a healthier ‘better you’. Honestly, I have had a lot of comments about looking really healthy just from using a tinted moisturiser.
bareMinerals Tinted Moisturiser
I love bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Moisturiser. There are 16 different shades that give a sheer to medium coverage. I love the gel cream texture as it feels a lot more hydrating than other products I have used. It can be applied with their Smoothing Face Brush but in a rush clean fingertips can do a perfectly decent job. This is the perfect base to apply when you are in a hurry, especially as it contains SPF 30 to protect your skin.
bareMinerals is a Cruelty Free company (although their parent company is not). They offer a lot of Vegan products, which are listed on their website.
Nude Lipsticks & Lip Balms
There are plenty of girls that can apply a sexy red lip or a perfect rose pink pout in a hurry. I am not one of them. The bolder the lip colour I choose the more I need a liner and that is not optimal in a hurry. Luckily I have built up quite the collection of nude lip products. Adding a hint of colour to my lips makes a noticeable difference to how I look, whilst still being quick and easy!
Kat Von D Crème Lipsticks
A lot of brands offer nude lipsticks but Kat Von D has a wide selection of colours in her Crème Lipstick range. They all have a satin-matte finish and apply really easily to the lips. The satin-matte finish works well for me as they don’t feel dry on the lips but stay put. My personal favourites include Bow N Arrow, Ludwig and the three Lolita shades. It is really easy to find a colour that suits your skin tone perfectly. The whole collection is Cruelty Free and Vegan.
It should be noted that there is controversy surrounding Kat Von D. I think her makeup line is great but I do not support her as an individual. Some of the issues are addressed by one of my favourite Beauty Bloggers in a video here. Whatever brand you choose to support, a nude lipstick should definitely be a staple in your bag.
A Great Mascara
Mascara is the number one way to define your eyes and is undoubtedly a fast beauty essential. It is so simple but makes a huge impact. Some mascaras give a enhanced natural finish and others make your lashes as thick or long as possible without extensions.
Finding the perfect mascara can be similar to the quest for the holy grail. There are times when I just want to give up. I used to love Max Factor’s Masterpiece Mascara but my eyes have been opened up, no mascara pun intended, to the devastating amounts of animal cruelty still in the beauty industry. Max Factor is not Cruelty Free thus I refuse to fund them further with my custom. My latest mascara is the Soap & Glory Thick & Fast HD Mascara. Unfortunately, it seems to have been discontinued. The next mascara on my list to try is Too Faced’s Better Than Sex mascara, which I have heard many people rave about.
Do you have a favourite mascara? I will keep you updated as my quest continues for my perfect match.
Fast Beauty Essentials
No-one could describe me as a beauty queen. With my health problems I don’t get out as much as I would like and when I do I don’t want to be exhausted from hours of getting ready. My fast beauty essentials really make me feel different with very little effort on my part. Looking good makes you feel good.
What are your beauty essentials and fast beauty tips? I would love to know so please share your thoughts below.

Sometimes I don’t feel like doing anything but the bare minimum because of my health. Blowdrying my hair is one of the things I don’t do (also because I don’t have one), but I should start doing it. More self-care might help me to feel better. I’ll check this one out and the tinted moisturiser. Thank you for sharing!
I completely understand where you are coming from. Some days getting out of the door at all is a real achievement! I too am guilty of previously not owning a hair dryer. The old hair dryers used to be heavy, made my hair frizzy and honestly were really tiring to use. I am glad that technology has moved on! Thank you so much for commenting. Let me know what you think of anything you try out as I would love to hear how you get on.
My fast beauty essential is my GHD’s that I have had for basically as long as I can remember. I really should blow dry but I always wash my hair in the evening and let it dry naturally so smoothing it out with GHD’s makes me feel better, and its quicker!
I do need to try some nude lipsticks also, but I get really dry lips which doesn’t help!
I rarely dry my hari but when I do I cheat with my wet to dry straighteners. I love nude lipsticks and tinted moisturisers though as I rarely do full make up.
For a quick fix I tend to just use concealer and mascara, on top of Revolution Fruit Extract serum which is really glowy 🙂
I either go all out or nothing at all when it comes to getting ready! You are most likely to see me with my straight hair and my usual makeup look! I wouldn’t be me without my eyeliner!
I really need to practice eyeliner. It is one thing that I never learnt how to do properly. Practice makes perfect but I am kinda scared of looking like a toddler drew on my face for the first few attempts…
Oooh I need that dryer in my life! 🤩 I rarely use the one that I have (which is a Korean brand called Unix) bc I honestly don’t have time. But I guess I need to do more, and I really want to try that tinted moisturizer!
The tinted moisturiser is great. I honestly look so much healthier when I wear it and can definitely recommend it! Thanks for reading and commenting x
I’m really working on improving my skin right now so my routine in a morning still consists of a full face of makeup – not necessarily heavy though! Having my hair half up half down and leaving it in my natural wavy state is definitely a quick go to for me.
I tend to just go for concealer, brow gel and mascara when I’m in a rush. I completely relate with the mascara struggle, I am yet to find the perfect one for me.
Concealer is a good shout. My skin tends to look blue so I can’t just do concealer unless I want it to stick out like a sore thumb when my oxygen is low :-p I think a lot of people could definitely just do concealer instead of full foundation though. I hope you find one you like soon!
I don’t often wear make-up but when I do I always include mascara. Eyelashes are my favorite features of a face so I like to make them stand out haha!
Mascara makes a really big difference. If you have gorgeous lashes then you should definitely show them off 🙂
I love the Kat Von D liquid lipsticks, they last so long! Wasn’t a fan of her foundation at all though!
